Mobility - Sunday 19 April

Come on foot, by (shared) bike, or public transport to the start and finish of the Leuven Marathon at the Philips site in Leuven. Several streets will be closed due to the event. As a result, the Philips site is not accessible by car. As a participant or supporter, follow the directions below to easily reach your destination.

ON FOOT OR BY BIKE

The Philips site in Leuven is easily accessible on foot or by bike. Ample bike parking is available near the park between Nieuwe Kerkhofdreef and Kerkhofdreef and near Parkweg, behind the Philips site.. From there, you can quickly reach the Philips site on foot.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Are you coming by bus or train? Then Leuven Station is the place to be! Please note: due to the race route, many bus lines are affected. Check the NMBS and De Lijn route planners and plan your trip to Leuven.

From Leuven Station, the starting area at the Philips site is accessible on foot. Keep in mind that after arriving at the station, you will still need to walk to the starting area, so be sure to leave for the event on time.

The bus stops near the Philips site will not be served on Sunday 19 April. You can check the alternative schedule on De Lijn route planner.

40% DISCOUNT ON TRAIN TICKETS

Thanks to NMBS, participants can enjoy a 40% discount on the purchase of a return Event Train Ticket (2nd class) for the event day (Sunday 19 April) to Leuven station. A few days before the event, each participant will receive their unique discount code.

PARKING

If you are unable to take the train to the event, please follow the instructions below to easily reach the car parks. Runners and supporters of the Leuven Marathon can park at the Leuven Marathon car park at the Brabanthal.

You can park there all day for €12, and the car park is easily accessible from the E40. Reserving a parking ticket is mandatory, use the link below. Follow the signs as you approach the car park to find a spot without any trouble.

A free shuttle will run from the car parks to the start and finish lines between 7 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. This allows you to travel to and from the Philips site hassle-free.

Important: the car park closes at 9.30 pm. Please ensure you have left the car park by then. After that, it will no longer be possible to drive out of the car park.

KISS & RIDE

Due to the road closure between Naamensepoort and Tiensepoort, the starting area is not accessible to motorised traffic. Additionally, several streets are closed due to the course. Anyone wishing to drop off or pick up people can use the Kiss & Ride at Parking 1 Leuven Station. From here, you can walk to the Philips site.

LEAVING THE EVENT

Want to get home quickly and hassle-free? From the finish area, you can easily walk to Leuven Station, the fastest and most comfortable option to continue your journey.

Is your car parked at the Brabanthal car park or will supporters pick you up there? The shuttle service runs between 7 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. and provides a smooth connection between the arrival area and Brabanthal car park. The pick-up point at the arrival area is located on Geldenaaksebaan.
