The unforgettable success of the 2025 European Running Championships called for a sequel. That sequel arrives on Sunday, April 19 with the Leuven Marathon.
With a great recipe, you hardly need to change the ingredients. Expect once again three distances (10 km, half marathon, or full marathon) and a very similar course running through the heart of Leuven, starting and finishing at Sportoase. Marathon runners will enjoy a brand-new loop through the Forests of Brabant.
Along the way, DJs, live acts, and thousands of enthusiastic supporters will make it an incredible experience all the way to the finish line.
Leuven Marathon Course to Combine City, Canal and Green Loop in Heverleebos
The course of the Leuven Marathon has been announced. It is very similar to that of the recent European Running Championships, which the new event on Sunday 19 April builds upon. The biggest change is, of course, the marathon distance, where participants will enjoy a beautiful, green loop through the Forests of Brabant. The start and finish for all distances are at Parkpoort. Organiser Golazo and the city of Leuven have made a conscious decision to stay as close as possible to the successful formula of the European Championships, which means participants can once again choose from three distances (10 km, half marathon and marathon)
