One of the core values of the Leuven Marathon is that everyone feels welcome: runners, supporters, and visitors alike, regardless of their physical abilities or personal circumstances. Together, we create an event where everyone can enjoy the experience of sport.

  • Participants who hold a UiTPAS Regio Leuven and are eligible for the discount rate can use it when registering for the Leuven Marathon.
  • During the registration process, you can enter your UiTPAS number to automatically receive the reduced rate (80% discount on the standard registration fee).

Join2Bike

Join2Bike is an inclusive cycling club based in Leuven that brings together athletes with and without disabilities to lower barriers and improve quality of life through cycling and physical activity.

In cooperation with the City of Leuven and the Leuven Marathon, Join2Bike is now helping to break down barriers at the Leuven Marathon as well. Under the banner of adaptive sports, athletes with disabilities are given the opportunity to fully experience the Leuven 10K at their own pace and ability level. Participants using a handbike, tricycle, or wheeler can enjoy the unique marathon atmosphere throughout Leuven’s city centre from start to finish.

  • Which distance? Leuven 10K

As this is the first edition of this partnership, participation is currently limited to the Leuven 10K to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Guides and companions of participants with disabilities can take part free of charge. Please contact us in advance at info@golazo.com.

Accessibility and Mobility

  • Parkingfor persons with disabilities: In cooperation with the City of Leuven, we provide reserved parking spaces close to the start and finish areas. Send an email to info@golazo.com and we will provide you with all necessary information.
  • Public transport: Leuven railway station offers facilities for people with reduced mobility. Through NMBS/SNCB, you can request free assistance when boarding and alighting trains.

  • From the car parks and the station, we provide clear, accessible routes to the event site.

At the Event

  • Wheelchair-accessible viewing area: A dedicated zone will be available near the finish line, allowing everyone to comfortably follow the runners’ finish.
  • Quiet zones: For those who need a low-stimulation environment, quiet areas will be available along the course. Please contact the organization (info@golazo.com) for more information.
  • Information desk & volunteers: Our staff and volunteers are ready to assist and answer any questions.

  • First aid stations are fully accessible, and our medical team is ready to assist participants and visitors with disabilities whenever needed.
